Vortex-lattice structures in rotating Bose-Fermi superfluid mixtures

The system of Bose-Fermi superfluid mixture offers a playground to explore rich macroscopic quantum phenomena. In recent experiment Yao et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 117, 145301 (2016)], 41K-6Li is implemented. Coupled quantized vortices are generated via rotating the mixture, and few unconventional behaviors on formations vortex numbers observed, which can be traced boson-fermion interactions. Here we provide theoretical insight into observed in experiment. To this end, orbital-free density functional theory hired, its utility validated by making comparison numerical results microscopic for lattices strongly interacting Fermi superfluids alone. We also predict interesting phenomena readily explored experimentally, including novel structures bosonic-fermionic vortices, attractive interactions between bosonic fermionic vortices.
